First of all, I want to thank you (yes you!) for tuning in this season. We can't believe how much this podcast has grown over the course of the summer. We love getting your messages and talking to you out and about around the lakes.
We wanted to end this season with a story to capture what these last days of summer feel like in Okoboji. Really, we wondered, if it's always been so still. It became a fascinating window into a single week 115 years ago.
Below, we've compiled pictures from our archive from that year -- and newspaper clippings from some of the stories we covered in this episode.
A special thank you to the Dickinson County Museum for the first photo of the Arnolds Park High School! And check the hours of the Westport School House to step back into this history.
We're excited, folks. And we'll see you for Season 4 very soon.
